Remember that phrase “No such thing as bad press”? Yeeeeah. And when we write about them - even in a negative context - guess what we’re doing. Giving them press! Which is WHAT THEY WANT. In turn, WE ARE GIVING THEM WHAT THEY WANT. (Although I would leave Mr. Fatmanatee’s manifesto out of this since it was sans name. That might actually be a nice form of protest to this kind of thing… thus why I do not mention them by name, either. Still, the fact that they can be written about without their names and people know who is being talked about is an obvious sign that they are talked about way too much, especially in the tumblr community. Let’s make July “vapid Internetly popular for no good reason people”-free month.)
